Glorious choo-Choo AZ Adventure

Being with good friends, organized and timely event/adventure let alone spectacular scenery historical info presented
The great train robbery!
, Dec 2021
Great views and knowledgeable tour guide, but the food could kill a goat. Rotten grapes, moldy cheese, stale brownie, and some type of unidentifiable road kill. Felt robbed of a great experience.
Great experience for the whole family!

This was such an amazing experience! It had something for everyone: scenery, history, food/beverages, and, of course, trains. Well worth the price!! Our tour guides were very knowledgeable and entertaining. They shared plenty of state and local history and great stories about local families. It was a little rainy the day we went, so we were grateful to be able to move between the covered outdoor car and heated inside car. Inside the closed car, we had two comfortable loveseat sofas with a shared table for the four people in our family group. All the seats were near a window and had a great view of the beautiful scenery as we rode past. Snacks included were actually a generous amount of meats, cheeses, fruit, crackers, and brownies - practically a full meal and all very delicious. The bar was also well stocked and served great beers, wines, and cocktails. There is a small gift shop at the depot with items available in a range of prices. We were able to buy several small souvenirs to commemorate our experience. Loved it!
Relaxing and historic trip trip

The people working on the train were very knowledgable and gave great info. . Food provided was excellent and great for a lunch. Most comfortable train I have ever been on. Loved the sofa s even though not on side for best view but outside car was very nice. We'll organized. Lovely and relaxing. Trip same both ways except light changes but fine for a nap.
Our experience

I would have given it a 5 star except the speakers were horrible and no one could hear the history. . It was beautiful, peaceful and serene besides that.
Needs a Children's Car
, Nov 2021
The ride itself was beautiful. The people who work there were all very friendly and gracious. The car hostess and outdoor guide were knowledgeable of the history of the area and the railroad and let us know when there were special landmarks and photo ops. The complimentary snack box was fresh and delicious and went perfect with the generous pour of Chardonnay I ordered. The only downside were the crying children on the way back. I rode the outside the car most of the way out and had planned on sitting inside the car and sipping my wine and enjoying the scenery on the return trip but instead was forced to go back outside numerous amounts of times due to two screaming, crying, whining children. May I suggest to whoever runs this venture that they reserve a car just for families with their children. I would’ve given this five stars but I didn’t spend $100 to listen to children scream for over an hour.
Verde canyon railroad the highlight of our visit!

Sunlight on the red rocks and reflections on the river. The travel in our rail car was very comfortable. The staff was very knowledgeable. The appetizers came in a personal container and were very nice.
