I didn't get much out of this tour. Our tour guide was super nice and seemed knowledgeable, but his headset didn't work and I couldn't hear anything he said. Save your money and explore on your own.

A Waste of Time

This vortex tour was a waste of time and money. It is not a vortex tour as represented. We could have found out the same information on the Internet. There are 4 major vortexes in Sedona. We saw none of them. In Boynton Canyon, we pulled over on a side road and were asked if we felt different because of the vortex in the area. (The guide said they didn't have the permit to go to the any of the significant vortexes, including Boynton Canyon). There is another major vortex at the airport, but we were driven up to airport and back without stopping, or given any information about the vortex there. The only good things were a visit to a minor vortex at Rachel's Knoll and the Amitabha Stupa. We wasted 2.5 hours of our time and over $200.

It is unfortunate you did not enjoy your time with us. Many are under the misconception that there are only 4 Vortex spots. Sedona as a whole is a Vortex. We would've loved to be able to resolve this issue with you on tour, but we were not aware of your dissatisfaction until this review. We completely understand your frustration and hope to have a second chance in the future. Please call directly rather than going through a third party so we can provide you with the tour that suits your party the best. We appreciate your valuable feedback.

All in all pretty good time

I booked two tours with aviator, with what I thought was same company. Turns out it was two different companies which caused some confusion, as Ron, our guide on one tour, said he’d be back to get us the next day for tour #2. When I called to verify a question, I was told that company had no Ron and I was scheduled to be with them, not Ron, but Ron showed up to pick us up. Long story short, we went with Ron both tours. The nice parts were that he took us to different spots so that we saw more. He’s very knowledgeable and has a “script” that he goes from with all of that knowledge. However on tour 2, he started off on the same script and said the exact same things, at the same time, with the same jokes. Okay by me, as my parents were on tour two, so it was fresh for them. I’m in the tourist industry so I get that you basically give the same info many, many times. Ron was very nice, very accommodating and a pleasant person to spend several hours with. My only critique is that, especially on the vortexes, there should be some quiet time. Some reflection and absorption time. I had specifically stated my goals for my three hour tour the previous day but he talked continuously during the tour, so no time to just be. I even started to walk away for personal time but was called back to listen to more of his presentation. This was an important healing journey for me, but I had no opportunity do that with Ron talking the whole time and not allowing me to be separate for a little time. On the second tour, my dad did the same thing, started to walk to see the view and Ron said “hello, leader here” as he patted himself, indicating he had things to present and we were to follow directions. Neither I, nor my dad, appreciated that. Seems to me that we paid for a private party of four, we should be able to spend some time taking in the views and energies on our own. There are only so many times to hear about the different bushes or so many piles of coyote poop to see and hear how you can tell by the berries in it. You were great Ron, but it’s okay to go off script and let guests just absorb Sedona for all it is.
