Make your way to Corcovado Train Station. On arrival, your eyes are drawn to the summit of Corcovado, from which one of the New7Wonders of the World, the Christ the Redeemer statue (Cristo Redentor), reigns supreme over the city.

With your skip-the-line ticket in hand, hop on-board the next available train to the summit of Corcovado and relax during the short journey to the statue’s 2,300-foot (710-meter) perch. Trains depart regularly.

On arrival at the top, enjoy magnificent views of Rio de Janeiro’s iconic Copacabana and Ipanema Beaches, and pose for photographs beneath the outstretched arms of the statue. Opt for an off-peak time slot if you’d prefer less people in your pictures.

NB: Check if you really need to purchase train tickets

We had pre-purchased these tickets for the morning. With traffic, we landed just after noon and presumably the tickets would not have been valid anyway. As it happens, our tour with C2Rio included van transportation right to the Christ the Redeemer statue area. We had to transfer to dedicated vans at the site and those tickets were included in the tour price. So, we did not use the pre-purchased tickets and were unable to secure a refund for them. A disappointing and unnecessary waste of money.

The weather was really bad and it practically rained the entire time. The staff should not let people go up unless there is a decent view of at the very least, the Christ statue. I even tried to change the date but they made it very complicated to do so. Beware, if the weather is not good on the day of your visit, make sure you contact viator to change the date, otherwise it's not worth it.

best quickest way to see Cristo Redeemer

For those of you who does not have much time, who does not want to be locked in a group schedule, who wants to be independent, This ticket would be the best. Take Uber to & fro (in Rio, it's the cheapest quickest transportation) tram station. Get a ticket & a wrist band from a ticket booth. Go in front of every line. You are there to enjoy efficiently. Being at the tram station by 9am to beat the crowd helps as well (beat the humid hot weather as well by going early in the morning)

Skip the line means nothing for this atraction. You do not get a preferential entry any place but the initial ticket check. The entry to the train up and down, you are on your own. The lines for the initial entry are not that long, no more than 10 min wait. Ones you pass that point then you have to fight with bunch of people to get on the train. I was pushed out of my seat by a romanian guy that was part of a group, and nobody did anything, just standing and watching this guy draging me out of my seat and pushing me , almost falling on the ground. There is nobody to watch for anything and there is nobody to complain to. Where you need the "skip the line" entry the most is for the train, but you do not get it. On the way back I asked the person that was checking the tickets if I can use the skip the line entry and she said - this is not valid for the way down. Never had such a bad experiance as this one.

This was a amazing experience! Our guide (Vera) helped us navigate the process, and the result was an easy trip on the train and incredible views from the summit. The site managers handle large crowds very well, Don’t miss this when you come to Rio!

Absolutely happy we got the skip the line option. When we arrived, there was a pretty long line, we were able to go to the window, pick up our tickets a get to the front to board the train. The train ride up to Christ The Redeemer was very smooth and relaxing. We took the stairs (there was an elevator and escalator for those who needed it). Definitely go early. We went early and were able to take great pics without the crowd. By the time we left, it was quite crowded.
