Your tour will begin in central Catalina Island, where your foodie guide will meet you. Be sure to arrive with an appetite, as the area is known for its great restaurants, delicious seafood and, of course, beautiful views of the Pacific.

Head first down Front Street to admire the original Catalina tiles from the early 20th century. As you walk, you’ll make stops in six different locations, sampling fresh seafood, sweets and traditional homemade recipes. Your guide will share stories about the culture, cuisine and history of the island as you travel from one location to the next.

Continue along Avalon’s charming streets, stopping to view the notable architecture along the water. You’ll see the historic Inn on Mt Ada — a one-of-a-kind guestroom mansion that was once home to the Wrigley Family — and the famous Casino Building.

Before your tour concludes, treat your taste buds to one last local favorite, a beer float. Your guide will part ways with you in a central spot, where you can continue exploring Catalina foods and attractions on your own.

The foodie tour in Catalina was great! Lots of variety of stops and food and drink choices. I also liked the fact that before the tour we were asked about food allergies, so they could accommodate everyone. The guide, Lili, was full of good information about the area as well. A fun afternoon.

I was lucky enough to take this foodie tour with my best girlfriends just days before our 40th high school reunion. This is the 5th food tour I have been on, The guide was a bit “rehearsed” which is why I gave the tour 4 stars. Great food and lots of awesome info about the island. I would have changed the order of the tasting as as eating Carmel apples and taffy after the first course seamed odd, Put dessert at the end of the tour after the savory bites

Meh, none of the food was mind blowing. The best was the coconut margarita at the end. The tour guide enjoys what she does, but in some of the one on one conversations I thought she boardered on questionable with her views and could've kept her thoughts to herself. If you are a first timer to Catalina and looking for a way to get oriented, or a solo traveler looking to kill time, then I would recommend this tour.
