Great Food and Hotel History
, Oct 2019
Kerry was an excellent tour host, she knew the property well and was able to entertain us with stories along the tour. We visited four restaurants and a chef from each came out to talk to us. This was the highlight for me, to hear their passion and love of their establishments. They explained the uniqueness of their place and about our food sample. What impressed me most was the challenge Fairmont has given for a zero waste operation. Each chef spoke to eat with eagerness and delight at their creativity to accomplish this. The food was amazing at each different stop. The drinks were also very good, but could have been better if they included alcohol.

Dear 189deb, Thank you so much for your kind words about the tour, the Fairmont Banff Springs, the amazing chefs we get to work with and our guide Kerry. I will be sharing this with all concerned. It's illegal in Alberta for us to sell alcohol that someone else is licensed for. That is why we provide amazing culinary craft spirit-free beverages on all our tours and negotiate a special price for the alcohol drinks guests can buy on their own. I am currently working on an innovation with government to get around this but it is a long road. Thanks for your encouragement. I'll stick with it! With gratitude, Karen Anderson President and CEO, Alberta Food Tours, Inc
